  • Resilience: A loss or a failed shot teaches you to come back and never give in.

It would be true to say that half of what I have been taught about persistence and patience, I have learned not in books, but in sports.

The fact is that there are days when exercises are tough, the sports fatigue you, and you may wonder why you are wasting your time. However, then you realize, you no longer feel like dying when you climb up the stairs. Your jeans fit better. Lift heavier, run faster, play longer.

And beyond that? You begin to have more confidence in yourself. You know how to commit to something, challenge yourself, leave comfort zones, and become better - bit by bit. That trust oozes in any aspect of life.

No equipment, associations, or clear strategy are necessary to return to the beginning. All you have to do is get going--anywhere, with whatever you have.

Do push-ups in your bedroom. Join a local sports team. Use the stairs rather than the lift. Every small choice adds up.

Since fitness and sports are not about perfection or competitions, they are about becoming a better version of oneself. And believe me, once I tried that leap forward, you won’t believe you can get out.

Therefore, it is either in the gym where you sweat, or on the field where you play, or simply take a morning jog, one way or the other, your body, your soul, and have fun. The scoreboard is no longer in the gym or in the stadium, but in your life.
